How to create and share an invoice with PaidNow

Start with the customer and the work

Create your PaidNow account, then add the customer’s name and contact details. In a new invoice draft, describe the work clearly and enter the quantity and unit price for each item. Use ZAR amounts and check the due date.

Review before issuing

Check the customer, supplier details, notes, discount and tax before approving the invoice. Use VAT only if your business is VAT registered. PaidNow calculates the totals on the server. Correct a draft before issuing it; an issued invoice is a financial record rather than a document to overwrite.

Download and share

After approval and issuance, download the PDF. Open your email or ordinary WhatsApp, choose the recipient, attach the file and press Send yourself. No WhatsApp Business account is needed for manual sharing.

Make the next step clear

Include payment instructions and a due date. If you connect your own supported payment processor, you can generate a payment link and share it alongside the invoice. Provider fees and approval requirements apply.
